Frequently Asked Questions

How do I order my books?
Your book order is generated after you register for a class. Once you are registered, we will receive a book order from your school, and the books will be shipped beginning 3 weeks before class start. Book orders are only generated once you have registered for a class.
How do I pay for my order?
Book and rental fees will be billed to your student account. They are payable at your school’s business office. (Fees for some programs may be included in tuition. If you have questions about your program, please contact your admissions counselor or registrar's office.)
Can I track my order?
Yes! Three weeks before your class starts, when your order ships, a tracking number will be sent to the email address your school has on file. It is important for you to check this email address.
What should I do if I have not received a tracking number?
You should receive a tracking number about 3 weeks before your class starts. At that time if you haven't received a tracking number, be sure you are officially enrolled. You also may want to check your spam folder.  If you have any concerns that your shipment may not have gone out, please contact us immediately, and we will resend the tracking number.
When will I receive my my books?
Books orders are shipped out 3 weeks before the start of your class. You should expect them to arrive 2 weeks before your class begins. If you enroll after the standard shipping date, within 3 weeks of your class start date, your book order will be sent out as quickly as possible.

What do I do if I drop the course?
Simply refuse the package on delivery. If you have already opened the shipment, please return your books back to us using the prepaid return envelope provided to you.
Can I keep my rentals?
Yes, hold onto your books and do not ship them back. Your account will be charged the replacement cost indicated on the packing slip you received.
Can I sell my books back?
Yes! Books purchased may be sold back to us online. Look up your book values, print a packing sheet and FREE shipping label here.

NOTE: If a rental book is returned using this method, you will be charged a replacement fee.
How do I contact Tree of Life Books?
If you have a problem with a shipment for your class please submit a ticket online from our Customer Service form page. We will respond on the next business day.
How do I change my preferred shipping address?
Please contact your admissions counselor or the registrar to make a change in shipping. We can only ship your order to the address provided by your school.
What is the price of my books?
The cost to purchase your rental book is found on the packing sheet included with your order. If you choose to keep a book, simply don't return and we will bill your school account.
What if I lost my rental return shipping label?

What do I do if the book I receive is damaged?
It is very important that you notify us if you receive your book damaged, contact us by submitting a ticket online. All rental books that are received in unacceptable condition when returned to TOL will be billed. To avoid being billed for damaged incurred to the book before your possession a ticket must be submitted within one week of receiving the book. Once TOL has been contacted of the damaged books we will offer you a replacement and insure that you do not get billed for any damages to the book.
