General Job Description:

Responsible for preparing all required course materials for the purchasing process.  This includes researching all course adoptions, communicating both internally and externally to problem-solve and enhance service, maintaining school catalogs and adoptions to ensure that each catalog is accurate and up to date, as well as completing research for special projects.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, evaluate, and maintain the accuracy of course material information received from Tree of Life’s adoption collection programs
  • Initiate, maintain, and complete the title research process necessary for sourcing textbooks within Tree of Life software
  • Contact suppliers via written, verbal, and electronic communications in order to garner necessary information for title research
  • Assess availability and any potential sourcing issues for adopted course materials
  • Interact with Store Managers and school curriculum contacts concerning textbook issues by means of verbal and written communication
  • Maintain awareness and understanding of any important dates and deadlines
  • Complete research for special projects or requests
  • Meet weekly with entire team to discuss upcoming tasks and goals

Skills / Qualifications preferred:

  • Must be proficient in moderate level computer skills, with a working knowledge of MS Office Excel
  • Excellent verbal and oral communication skills required
  • Must be able to work well within a team atmosphere
  • Ideal candidate must be organized, self-motivated and detail oriented
  • Strong problem-solving and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to assess priorities and manage competing deadlines
