General Job Description:

Responsible for preparing all required course materials for the purchasing process.  This includes maintaining course material catalogs for assigned accounts, communicating both internally and externally to problem-solve, and customizing research per need to ensure those catalogs are accurate and up to date.


Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Initiate, monitor, evaluate, and maintain the accuracy of course material information within a database
  • Contact suppliers via written, verbal, and electronic communications in order to garner the necessary information
  • Assess potential sourcing issues for adopted course materials and work with multiple teams and internally to find viable alternatives
  • Interact with store managers and school curriculum contacts concerning textbook issues by means of verbal and written communications
  • Maintain awareness and understanding of any important dates and deadlines
  • Complete research for special projects or requests
  • Meet weekly with Title Research team to discuss upcoming strategies, review progress past week, and problem-solve obstacles of specific tasks
  • Meet weekly with Procurement team to discuss upcoming tasks and goals

Skills / Qualifications preferred:

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and generate alternative solutions
  • Must be able to work well within a team atmosphere
  • Candidate must be organized, self-motivated, and goal-oriented
  • Must be proficient in moderate level computer skills, with a working knowledge of MS Office Excel
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required
  • Ability to multitask, assess priorities, give precise attention to detail, and manage competing deadlines
