Our Mission

Tree of Life exists to transform the student experience, impact graduation rates, and contribute to the financial health of our higher education partners across the country through original thinking, unique solutions, and relevant products.

Our Values

Tree of Life started as a ministry. Our founders knew it was crucial to build this company on Christian values and principles. These core beliefs shine through our employee culture as many of our employees are active in local ministry. From the top-down, we naturally serve our partner accounts with honesty, integrity, and a strong work ethic.

In a time of sterile, generalized solutions, we believe that personal relationships are more important than ever. Our partner institutions are like family. We intentionally grow our business at a pace that allows us to know our partners well, understand the challenges they face, and determine solutions together.

This is why we do what we do. It’s why we started Tree of Life. Our focus is to build strong tools and elite teams so we can offer our partners innovative solutions to complicated challenges. We spend a significant amount of time and resources working on the future of the campus store. This determined pursuit of the new-and-improved allows us to stay a step ahead of our competition.

Our Roots

Tree of Life started in 1997 as a local Christian bookstore and coffee shop.

Early on, local students and administrators came to us with a problem: textbooks were too expensive, and Tree of Life was selling the same titles for less.

In 1998, equipped with solutions, we entered into our first partnership with a nearby university.

Through creative processes, a nimble technological infrastructure, and a tenacious pursuit of better, we have steadily earned the right to create solutions for a growing number of higher education partners nationwide.
