Store Manager Role Introduction:

The Store Operations team works directly with the store managers to integrate the Tree of Life culture within our campus partners.  While we are a “third party” entity, our goal is to engage the campus from within.  Each team member has a defined role, but collaboration is an integral part of who we are.  We often partner with another team member to create unique solutions.  We are looking for team members who desire to engage the campus community while furthering the culture and values of both Tree of Life and the institution.

We are seeking team members who place a high value on teamwork, innovation, and character development. Each team member should have a strong desire to serve our campus as though they were family.  As a store manager, you will be expected to lead the team by example in serving the campus.

Store Manager Role Function:

Every team member is responsible for:

  • Create and maintain relationships with departments for campus store engagement
  • Create a welcoming store environment
  • Offer great customer service to boost morale and sales
  • Maintain store stock and appearance
  • Plan and direct day to day operations of the campus store

As we strive to integrate into each campus community, it often requires flexibility and adaptability in scheduling and function to serve the campus well.   As we continue to grow and develop, we are constantly making small adjustments to provide the best service possible and desire team members who are able to adjust with us.

As a member of the management team, you will be responsible for:

  • Setting a positive tone and being an example of service, hard work, and creative problem-solving
  • Providing direction to the store team and performing the duties of any team member in their absence
  • Understanding the unique specifics of the institution, without compromising our core values of character, relationship, and innovation

Title Research Specialist Role Introduction:

Responsible for researching and preparing all required course materials for the purchasing process.  This includes maintaining course material documentation according to purchase process, product type, and supplier account specifications, and communicating both internally and externally to problem-solve.

Title Research Specialist Role Function:

  • Initiate, monitor, evaluate, and maintain the accuracy of course material information within a database
  • Determine the best method of purchase for all course materials adopted at accounts
  • Contact suppliers via written and verbal communications in order to garner product information
  • Collaborate with Catalog Specialists to gather and provide needed information between suppliers and accounts
  • Assess potential sourcing issues for adopted course materials and apply multiple problem-solving methods to find viable alternatives
  • Maintain awareness and understanding of any important dates and deadlines
  • Complete research for special projects or requests
  • Meet weekly with Course Material Research team to discuss upcoming strategies, review profess of the past week, and problem-solve obstacles of specific tasks

Skills / Qualifications Required:

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and generate alternative solutions
  • Must be able to work well within a team atmosphere
  • Candidate must be organized, self-motivated, and goal-oriented
  • Must be proficient in moderate level computer skills, have a working knowledge of MS Office, and Excel
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, assess priorities, give precise attention to detail, and manage competing deadlines
